- Suffer 50% fewer casualties than other troops
- Every 1000 Handmaidens also reduces the cost of enchanting by 1% to a maximum of 50%.
Valkyries (Odin)

- Immortal, suffer no casualties (except starvation)
Lightning Riders (Thor)

- Return from battle in 6 hours regardless of how long it takes other troops to return from invasion

- Every 300 wolves trained in your city increases your food production by 1%.
Leviathans (Jormungandr)

- 18 offense
- Cause extra casualties to boats (hringhorni, osebergs and hjortsprings)
Shapeshifters (Loki)

- 7 defense, 3 offense
- Do not appear on spy mission reports, but do appear on info spell reports
Wizards (Mimir)

- 6.5 defense, 8 offense
- Every 400 wizards trained raises your self spell effectiveness by 1%

- Produces 2 food per hour
Draugar (Freya)
- 3 defense, 8.5 offense
- Draugar can not be trained; they can only be acquired by Freya resurrecting them from your other dead troops.
- Draugar suffer no casualties and do not eat food or take up space.
- Swordsmen resurrect at half the rate of other troops.
Phoenices (Gullveig)
- 7500 silver
- 16 offense, 5 defense
- Immortal, suffer no casualties (except starvation)
Scholars (Kvasir)
- 2250 silver, 250 ore
- 5.5 defense, 2 offense
- Every scholar produces 0.75 research points per hour
Hjortsprings (Njord)
- 10,000 silver, 3600 lumber
- 5 defense, 22 offense
- Take no villagers and eat no food (they are ships)
- Produce 10 food per hour
- Always take 7 hours to return from invasion
- Will not die of starvation
